Countdown to Truck World 2008
is Underway!
(February 26, 2008) – The countdown has started
to Truck World 2008 (April 17 – 19, international Centre, Toronto). Truck
World is the meeting place for Canada’s trucking industry. Canada’s
national show is the place to see new products, new ideas, new solutions.

Truck World 2008 VIP Breakfast, featuring keynote speaker Stephen
Russell, chairman and CEO of the Celadon Group Inc.-- ranked as one of North
America’s largest truckload carriers with annual revenue nearing $500 million.
With 150,000 annual border crossings Celadon is believed to be the largest
provider of international truckload movements in North America. As Chair of the
American Trucking Association’s Homeland Security Policy Committee, Mr. Russell
is bound to have some interesting insights into our thickening borders.

Forum. It’s tough out there. Competition is up, margins are down, and it’s
hard to attract good people. Moderated by Newcom’s editorial director Rolf
Lockwood, this forum is for fleet owners and managers. Admission is free,

panelists are: Itamar Levine, Bison Transport’s director of maintenance speaks
to the growing technological challenges facing small fleets today. Chris Willard
of HBC Logistics addresses mounting compliance issues, and Gord Peddle,
President of D.D. Transport in Newfoundland talks about the problem of
attracting and retaining drivers.
