CBSA Offers Seminars on
NAFTA, Classification Harmonization, and Valuation, to Help Carriers Move Goods
Across the Border
This winter Canada Border Services Agency in
conjunction with Ontario Division of the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers the
Association of International Customs and Border Agencies is offering seminars to
help carriers move goods across the border with greater ease.
The Winter 2008 seminar line up is as follows:
“How to
properly classify goods in accordance with the principles of the Harmonized
System”. (Suggested pre-requisite for NAFTA course)

Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), Fast/CSA/PIP, AMPS

“How to
determine if your goods qualify under NAFTA by understanding & applying the
Rules of Origin, calculating Regional Value Content, Automotive Tracing and
Averaging, other NAFTA provisions including Certification Requirements.
(Harmonized System of Classification suggested as pre-requisite)
