Who We Are

Guest Speakers - Globe and Mail Editor Editor-in-chief, Edward Greenspon, addresses delegates at this Convention luncheon sponsored by Volvo Trucks Canada. The 2003 convention featured many top-flight speakers and thinkers who delivered thought-provoking messages for today’s trucking leaders. Ontario Minister of Transportation, Harinder Takhar – delivered his first public address to the trucking industry at the Opening Kick-Off Ceremony. Prior to his address the minister met with OTA’s Executive Committee for a briefing on trucking issues. Spousal Program - Participants of the spousal program discovered the art of creating holiday arrangements with presenter Marianne Sellick. Each participant took home their own holiday creation. New Road Knights – The team of 12 truck driver ambassadors who deliver a message of safe road sharing, were officially introduced to the OTA membership at this Opening Kick-Off ceremony. CityTV personality Mark Dailey was master of ceremonies at the popular convention event.
Scholarships – The OTA Education Foundation presents scholarships to students pursuing studies at Ontario colleges and universities. Some of recipients are seen here with Foundation director Bud Barr. TMC Conference - The Maintenance Council (TMC) held a conference for maintenance, IT and technology professionals in conjunction with the OTA convention.
TMC Conference Exhibitors –Con Met displayed wheel hub assemblies at the TMC Conference. A total of 33 exhibitors displayed their wares to 200 TMC attendees as well as OTA convention delegates. Gala Dinner – The annual Convention wraps up with a gala dinner soiree held on Friday evening. Seen here (from the left): OTA Chairman George P.
