New Trucking Industry Career Guide

The Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie has published a new career guide about careers in the trucking industry. The guide features the top 3 jobs in the region's trucking industry - truck driver, dispatcher and truck mechanic. Truck transportation is a major employer in the area, with more than 600 firms employing approximately 3700 people. The guide will assist job seekers in understanding the opportunities available in the trucking industry, as well as qualification required for certain positions. The guide also includes information on qualities firms look for in job candidates, job prospects, duties, education and training, essential skills and wages.
