What OTA Learning Solutions Does:

OTA Learning Solutions provides training to drivers, their supervisors and other carrier staff relating to regulatory compliance, risk management, and industry best practices. OTA Learning Solutions also provides professional development training to technicians employed in the trucking industry.

OTA Learning Solutions’ program structure offers several different learning platforms that share core content.  Learning is delivered in various ways to meet a wide range of industry learning preferences. This allows carriers and learning participants to choose one method that best suits their needs, or to combine the different methods. The basic learning methods include:

  1. Online learning whereby carriers can develop their staff through a comprehensive library of topics. This is under development.
  2. Classroom learning at OTA facilities delivered by internal facilitators. OTA’s multi-media resources, industry experts and central location provide a rich learning environment where qualified trainers deploy learning content that is relevant and constantly up to date.
  3. Remote classroom learning delivered by qualified instructors who become certified to deliver OTA Learning Solutions content to their own clients at carrier locations or education facilities.
  4. External learning facilitators at carrier locations or education facilities who administer learning, and deliver extensions of online and/or classroom learning. This consists of registering and mentoring learning participants, delivering practical learning tasks and conducting exercises to validate knowledge. Qualified facilitators can be employed by carriers, work independently, or work for an education provider.

The learning platforms share online administration that provides course descriptions, scheduling information, registration functions, knowledge tests, document resources and e-commerce functions.
