Cargo Securement:

This course gives a full understanding of how to comply with the cargo securement regulations that apply to general freight and to specific cargo commodities transported on flat deck trailers. This course is based on the driver handbook “Practical Cargo Securement; Guidelines for Drivers, Carriers & Shippers”. Our courses are segregated according to the type of vehicle/equipment you operate and use. Please choose the appropriate option from the following categories:

• Van Operation 
  The basic principles North American standard rules are taught, as well as Vehicle Requirements, Cargo Tiedowns, Loading & Securing, Inspecting Cargo, Enforcement & Compliance issues. General freight is covered along with the following specific commodities: Dressed Lumber & Similar Building Materials, Automobiles, Light Trucks & Vans.
  
• Flat Deck Operation
  The basic principles North American standard rules are taught, as well as Vehicle Requirements, Cargo Tiedowns, Loading & Securing, Inspecting Cargo, Enforcement & Compliance issues. The specific commodities covered include: Dressed Lumber & Similar Building Materials, Metal Coils, Paper Rolls, Concrete Pipe, Intermodal Containers, Automobiles, Light Trucks & Vans, Heavy Vehicles Equipment & Machinery, Flattened or Crushed Cars, and Boulders.
